My Little Brony Outfit
Growing up I loved to play with My Little Ponies. My favorite pony was Blueberry Baskets. No idea why, just was. I remember loving the concept of colorful ponies with cutie marks matching their personality. What I also remember is loathing the show. It seemed as though there was never any conflict and all of the ponies seemed far too demure for me to really relate or even like any of the characters. I was never really one to like girly type stuff especially as a little kid but I have to admit I loved playing with the toys. I just made sure to avoid all the My Little Pony shows and movies. I enjoy browsing memebase and had noticed a new addition. Browsing through and seeing all the praises to the new My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, I thought "There is no way this show is any good. My Little Pony shows are always bad." I was very surprised at how well done this one has been! Then I found out that this version was developed by Lauren Faust who also worked on Powerpuff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. I'm very happy to see these ponies finally getting the quality writing they deserve. Now moving on...
This is a casual outfit I put together. I enjoy the contrast of the neutrals and brights.
I bought these shoes in 2005ish from Hot Topic's website. The rainbow star shoelaces I bought from a Hot Topic store in 2004. I don't know who the shoelaces were made by and have yet to see any similar at Hot Topic since then. I also haven't seen any similar shoes at Hot Topic since the mid 2000's but they were made by Anarchic.
These are Mossimo Supply Co. jeans I got a couple of years ago. The legs were too long for me so I cut them shorter and let them fray at the bottom. I always think that Mossimo and Missoni are one and the same and I like to call both of them Missingno.
This is a belt from a Rainbow Brite costume I bought in 2005ish. It holds together with velcro but since it's been worn down a lot I will probably replace it. The sequined star is also old and deteriorated. I really enjoy the look of deterioration in general. I still love this belt and will likely go out of my way to repair and improve it when the time comes.
I don't know where this cuff came from specifically or who it was made by. I like to think of it as one of my little pieces of trophies (and no I'm not going to tell you what that means). Trash and Vaudeville still sell similar cuffs to this.
These are colorful rubber bands I just bought a few weeks ago from a Hot topic store.
A cadet hat that was ordered from eBay and a Brony T-shirt that was bought along with the rubber bands.
